place where Jessica craps and rants
Yeap, people usually think of going to AF is the most boring event ever. But, i think it is quite interesting because there are a lot of informative things. The receptionist was friendly, and the readers there are also very talkative.. =p
Basically, AF is a library, full with French magazines n books. Publics will have to pay RM100 to be a member of this library for lifetime, which i think is rather a very reasonable price to pay as there are really a lot of books n dvds we can borrow. The sad thing is, we, students of IPBA were not entitled to borrow those dvds, because those are not appropriate for us.. (Says Director of IPBA) because there are some ‘horrible’ scenes in there where people labeled as CENSURED. Haha. Lucky for us, some of our lecturers actually brought some dvds for us to watch. Sometimes.
18sx? Well, we are all 18+. For me, this is all about psychology n mentally thinking. Its hard to explain though, but those who understand, will understand. Lol.. I’m crapping.. =D
Gosh, actually wanted to post something about the program held at AF, but those dvds thingy really get my attention. Haha. Ok, lets move on…
It was about the Printemps de Poet, a week of literature thingy in France. We were exposed to poems from France, which i consider them long, complicated, and sometimes boring. Really boring. For instance, i recited a poem entitled “Quel qu’un” (which means ’someone’) It is a simple one, provided that the phrases are shorter n easier to recite. But the meaning, is a total boredom. I took like 30 seconds to recite the whole poem. N then, there was these group of french people, which i think are the veterans, they recited the poems, as if they were telling story. Some poems were too long, n some were too short. N it means like nothing… =.=”
Well, i guess i’m just not ready to appreciate french poems, because i don’t really use to read n study about them. It totally reminds me about the english poem we used to study during secondary school. Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare, was the best.
Then, there was these exposition about the arts and things like that. There were drawings from famous french artist. Sad thing, i didn’t snap any photo. What i snapped were a couple of photos with friends on that day.
