SS2 with Grace!

Apr 28, 2008 Author: Jess | Filed under: Quotidien!
Today i went to SS2 with a pretty girl name Grace Lee. We actually didn’t know where to go, and then that Grace suggested that to go yamchar at SS2, then go jalan2 at the night market. It was fun, because it was the first time i went to the night market and seriously i was amazed by the merriness there. And yea, the best thing is when we went to the loklok’s place to have some lokloks. Syok eh, =) Oops, before that, we went to find the same pairs of shoes but nope, tak dapat. However, i bought a pair of “cinderella” slippers and quite cun also. But sad, we didn’t manage to buy the same one. But what the heck, there is always a next time! We drank ice blended and bought some kuihs, then we walked n walked until 7pm. After that, we balik because Grace have class at 8. Well, wanted to stay a bit longer, but maybe next time! Thats all for now. Am writing this because i want to remember this day!
A very interesting day~

KAGUM 2008

Apr 24, 2008 Author: Jess | Filed under: Quotidien!

For those who don’t know what is KAGUM, it is just like the Olympic Games. =p. The difference is that KAGUM is a game among the future teachers of Malaysia. =D

Yeah, i entered the basketball team. 3 on 3, half court. Well, i wasn’t really a basketball player. Yea, i played basketball before, but it was like for fun.

I never thought of entering the team, but my tutor, Madame Teh, she introduced me to the basketball coordinator, Mr. Baskaran, with the reason i am tall so i definitely can shoot very well. But very direct rite? Tall should not be the factor of picking me into the troup. But, what the heck! I made it! (”,)

The game was held in UIA Gombak, n we stayed there for 4 days 3 nights. I got to know 4 of my team-mates, Leny, Dura, Nisha n Mimi. TESL Cohort 2 and 4. Thanks to god, i am able to communicate with them, cause they are as out-going as me. =) I got to know new friends too. The guy’s team, Rahman, Robot, Shim, Kok Lian n Geam. They were nice too. =)

We ‘lawan’ with 8 groups, and we made to the quarter finals. Yea, indeed i’m a sharp shooter. I contribute some goals! Lol. Thanks to Madame Teh, i was able to show off my potentials! Ahaha. And a HUGE THANKS to my sister Amy too. She sponsored my Nike shoe! =) Hihihi.

photo of us during the closing ceremony.. the sunspeckers are the basketballers! from left : Leny, Dura, Kok Lian, n Me! The chinese guy above Kok Lian is Geam, n the girl beside him is my captain, Nisha..

Conference at University Malaya

Apr 1, 2008 Author: Jess | Filed under: Quotidien!
There was this conference about the Francophone country today, and it totally took my mood away.

Boring.

That is what all i can say. Admittedly, there were things that we can add into our brains, but we basically cannot understand much. Firstly, among the 5 representatives, 1 of them which was from Vietnam, can’t even speak English or French properly. For me, it was a real shame. No, im not trying to say anything bad bout Vietnam or whatever, but that woman should have known those languages, as she is the representative. She should have prepared her paroles during the conference. Ya, she did.. But we barely can understand what she said.

The next thing is that during the conference, there were this question n answer session, and one of our friend, went up to ask some questions. Since all the people in the hall are French learners, i bet all of us/them understand, and able to response in French. So, our paroles were basically in French because we were trained to speak in French with the French to improve the skills. Unfortunately, there were these group of French students which i don’t have any idea where they were from.. They actually said something like : “I would not speak in French because i have low self esteem n i know not all people in this hall can understand French”. He was actually refering on us, because most of out college people spoke in French during that conference. For me, that was really embarassing because there were like a number of Frenchs in there.

Gosh.

The best thing i done there, is to speak with some French adolescents. They were quite open minded, but a little bit havoc. Yah, i took a couple of photos too, as usual. =)our legs? hahaa..
