place where Jessica craps and rants
Its the month of December now! And i’m dreaming of a white (not so white) Christmas!! Weehee~ Not to forget Christmas eve and the day after Christmas.
Ngee~~ Then January is on his way. So it means Gong Xi Gong Xi! Woohoo~~ Quadruple happiness! Syoknyer…
The movie Sepet was on air a few days ago, and i watched it again today. Then when i finished watching, something popped up in my mind. In the movie, there was one scene where Jason’s bestfriend (Ah Keong) was bitten up by a gang of gangsters because Jason made Jimmy’s (the gang’s leader) sister pregnant and Ah Keong ended up in the hospital. So both Jason and Ah Keong discussed about the incident, and they talked about Jason’s current girlfriend, Orked. Its quite true when they both said that years ago, Malays can marry outside their race easily, without any hard feelings et cetera. For me, its all about what we feel towards each other though. But now, we tend to avoid that, and sometimes, we tend to be racist! It is also true that we are supposed to be more civilised, but even that, il y a toujours les choses qui se passent maux, et il y a toujours les gens qui sont traités inégalement! (…bad things always happen, and many people were treated unevenly.)
That’s sad. That is truly sad! It seems like people are creating gaps between different races. Different people are talking different languages, different ways of living and stuffs. But as for me, in my 19 years of life, i spent it with Chinese, Malays, Indians, Iban, and lots more. Maybe because i was in a kebangsaan school during primary, and i continued in a residential school, which only consists of 90% Malays and 10% others! But i didn’t find any problem with that because.. Erm, i just don’t know. Maybe i got used to them or.. Bleggh!! I don’t know! But when i switched to High School for form 6, most of my friends are Chinese and Indians, and we were very good friends and we are still contacting each other till now!
Okla, not all people are like that, but most of them are! Haha. Sometimes, there are people who got pissed with me because i mix with that particular race, and then when they come and get to know me, they will know that i’m not picky or what.

about racism in our country. well, i believe that most of our people are still racists. i dont know what goes wrong with our system, but it seems like people are getting more and more racist each day. from the time i was born up to after spm, i could count the number of friends with different races i have. only one or two. not more than that. but soon as i stepped my feet in ipba, i had a big of culture shock having so many friends of different races. and frankly i like it. i like to know more about other cultures, in fact i had a big crush with someone who is a chindian. but that one is out of the discussion, but the main point is that, i dont see the reason why people want to be racists. they have to re-learn the history, then only they know hard for the past leaders to bring all races in Malaysia to be together to be one nation. they should lucky to be living in this country whereby everybody is accepted.
Ko yg dgki Mien ckp aku Amoi yg very Malay! And aku takde prasan cam ko nk ngaku dri sndri handsome! Sasau ar ko neh.. Blegghhhh
Mien : Antara semua comments ni yang paling berilmiah sikit. Hahax! And yeap, u are right. U had a big crush with a chindian? Haha.. Tell u what, i had a big crush with a Malay also last time. Wahhaha~
Well, mostly racism comes from the sense of insecurity and fear. Maybe in today’s world ppl are fed with too much fear of one another threatening their rights, safety and stuff. But then again, we’re all humans. Fear is inevitable but it isnt invincible. The feeling of insecurity does not exist by itself; humans evoke or eliminate insecurity within one another. Guess the simplest solution for racism is that we all just have to love and care for each other.. Just make sure no one among us are left to be scared in the corner alone eh?
Just a lil thought of mine… and somewhat a cheap publicity stunt :p
come read my blog oso ppl! Click the link on me name!! XD
Adnin!! Spam Spam!! Wahahaha~~
I guess everyone everywhere will form some sort of generalisation of other races as well as his/her own.
I think the Chinese are very cunning.
I think Malay food is too oily.
These generalisations can be bad ones or even good ones.
The Chinese are rich & educated.
The Malays are patriotic & friendly.
Some ppl call this action of generalisation racism.
Esp when ppl say bad things about another race.
But the truth is…
Racism is not an adjective.
It is an adverb.
Racism is shown through action.
Do you spit at another race?
Prevent another race from growing to its fullest potential?
I’m glad that you are fostering the spirit of openness where you willingly & happily mix with people from different races.
Keep it up.
=)
Hey Koko!
Yeap you’re right. But, i just think that people are sometimes racist against 1 another just because they want to defend their rights and stuffs like that. Especially in our country, where we have all this quota thingy and stuffs.. Even we knew that this is a sensitive issue but people keep talking bout it again. There’s where racist comes in. ~~~~
I am so ‘tak sabar’ to reach France because i heard that people there practice racism more than anywhere else! Haha~
